LTG Maintenence & Lubrication
Engine Oil
Type: 5W-30 Full Synthetic, Dexos Approved
Capacity:
RWD: 4.7 liters / 5.0 quarts
AWD: 5.7 liters / 6.0 quarts
Change Interval: Every 3,000β5,000 miles (4,800β8,000 km)
With Filter: Always replace with oil changes.
π‘ Tip for Modified LTG Engines:
If youβre running E85 and/or higher boost levels, many owners have found better protection using 0W-40 or 5W-50 full synthetic oil. This helps combat direct injection (DI) fuel dilution, which can thin the oil under aggressive driving or extended high-load conditions.
Engine Coolant
Type: Dexcool (Orange, GM Vehicle Coolant)
Capacity: 7.6 liters / 8.0 quarts
